There are two main ways to reach Jeri by plane: through Fortaleza airport, about 300 km from the village, or through Jericoacoara airport, much closer, with direct flights from São Paulo and other state capitals.
The last kilometers to the village are on sand, inside the National Park, so access is by prepared vehicles. Regular cars cannot enter the village: if you drive, you leave the car in Jijoca, where parking costs around R$40 per day.

Best time to go
On holidays and in high season (December, January and July), book your transfer ahead and pay the Sustainable Tourism Fee online to skip the queue on arrival.
Tourism fee
To enter Jericoacoara you pay the Sustainable Tourism Fee (TTS): R$41.50 per person, valid for up to 10 days. You can pay online on the city website or in person in Jijoca or at the village entrance. Paying ahead avoids queues on holidays and in high season. Exemptions set by the city (such as children up to 12, people over 60 and people with disabilities) require an ID document.
