Sunset in Jericoacoara

Jericoacoara's sunset is one of the most famous in Brazil, and one of the few places in the country where you can watch the sun set over the sea. The classic spot is the Sunset Dune (Duna do Pôr do Sol), next to the village. By buggy or ATV you reach quieter viewpoints and stop at a lagoon for a late-afternoon swim.

Because Jeri is close to the Equator, the time barely changes through the year: the earliest sunset is in late October and early November, around 5:30 pm, and the latest is in February, around 6 pm.
